Further information

Depending on router model, it supports Wi-Fi with one or two different Wi-Fi radios. The radios operate on different frequency bands, one on the 2.4 GHz frequency band and the other one on the 5 GHz frequency. Normally it is preferred to use the 5 GHz frequency radio as it has higher capacity, most but not all devices on the market support this radio frequency. The two different radios can coexist and be used simultaneously.
