Auto Configuration Server settings
The router can be remotely managed by your Internet service provider to for instance offer services such as Internet, IPTV and VoIP.
Choose Enable remote management to let your service provider manage the router and fill in the requested fields,

In this context managed means configure the router with services and to offer automatic software updated as needed. The management server is called an ACS (Auto Configuration Server) and uses a protocol called TR-069 to perform the management. In many cases it is required to let the service provider manage your router.
Quad-dotted notation is a way to write in IP address (IPv4). The format uses four groups of numbers separated by a “period”. Each group of numbers can have a value in the range 0 to 255. An example of such an IP address is 10.220.1.231.
Domain Name notation is a way to write an IP address in a textual format. The Domain name is automatically translated to an IP address via a DNS (Domain Name Server) service in the network.
