Printing settings
Please follow the following steps to add a USB connected printer.
- Connect the printer to one of the USB ports of the router
- Connect a windows PC via wired LAN or via Wi-Fi
- Find the add printer menu on the Windows PC
- Select "the printer I want is not listed"
- Select "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings"
- Create a new port and port type "Standard TCP/IP port"
- Add the local IP address of the gateway, by default it is 192.168.1.1 and any port name
- The Windows PC will search for the printer
- After a while, windows will ask for additional information, then select "Custom"
- On the next page, the Protocol should be set to "raw" and a port number under "Raw Settings", such as port 9100
- A list of printers will be presented, please select the printer manufacturer and printer model you have
- Use the default printer name or add a name of the printer you prefer
- Installation of printer drivers will be started by Windows
- Select "share this printer" if you want everyone in the home to be able to use the printer
- Print a test page to verify that the installation was successful
